Why Pay Fidya/Kaffara?

Fidya and Kaffara are specific forms of charity in Islam that are fulfilled by feeding people going without food.

Fidya feeds one person for each fast you miss due to a valid reason, such as chronic illness or old age.

Kaffara is paid for a fast broken without a valid reason. To make up for it, you must either feed 60 people or fast for 60 days straight.

MTJF turns your payment into monthly food packages filled with flour, rice, oil, lentils, and other staples.

We deliver food packages to 500+ struggling families every month. Families hit by the floods. Parents who are wondering whether to pay rent or feed their children. People who haven’t had a full meal in weeks.

It’s a direct exchange; your obligation becomes a meal. A personal responsibility fulfilled through mercy for another.
